Meet your guide

I’m Francisca Nunes, a mixed media artist and teacher inspired by nature, texture, and the quiet beauty of observation. Before becoming a full-time artist, I was a biology teacher and worked as a guide in a botanical garden. That way of seeing the world never left me. It shaped how I create, how I teach, and how I invite others into their own creative process.
My work today lives at the intersection of art and nature. I explore techniques like monoprinting, eco-printing, layering, and mark-making, but more than that, I explore how these processes can become a language for personal expression.

Over the years, I’ve taught thousands of students, and I see this again and again: It’s not about lacking techniques. It’s about not knowing how to continue. That’s why I created the Creative Lab. A space to stay in motion, to experiment, and to develop your own voice through your work. Inside the Lab, I guide you through projects and ideas, with space for you to explore and grow in your own way. Because this isn’t about following steps. It’s about creating in your own language.
